His academic background includes degrees as a Professional Technician in Agricultural Production and Livestock Studies, enriching his understanding of ecosystems and allowing him to explain the local flora and fauna with remarkable depth. Raised in a small town surrounded by rivers, valleys, and mountains, Erik spent his childhood exploring the countryside during school vacations, wandering through his uncles’ farms alongside cousins, and marveling at nature documentaries from National Geographic, Animal Planet, Discovery Channel, as well as national programs like Naturalia and Colombia Oculta. From a young age, he dreamed of one day becoming one of those people on screen — living in nature, sharing knowledge with local communities and travelers from around the world.
